Replace the blade on your edger attachment when its length is no longer sufficient to maintain the necessary ground clearance and deliver the required depth of cut. Edger blades must be replaced before use when they are damaged. Do not attempt to straighten or weld a bent or cracked blade; such a blade may break and must be replaced.
