DESCRIPTION
Use the electric-powered Makita? 3-1/4-Inch Planer to smooth wood surfaces, chamfer and bevel stock, scribe counter tops and shape posts, rails and stiles. This versatile, lightweight planer has a powerful 7.5-Amp motor that puts out 16,000 rpm, so you can work with it comfortably on all heavy-load projects. The Makita 3-1/4-inch planer has a two-blade cutter head that offers a smooth, fast planing swath of 3-1/4 inches at a maximum depth of 5/32-inch, or 4 mm, in a single pass. A front adjustment knob lets you set precise depths between 0 and 4 mm. The front sole plate has three variable-width chamfering grooves for rounding down edges. The Makita electric planer is easy to operate, with a manual locking trigger accessible from both sides of the handle. A spring-loaded foot lowers the planer gently onto work surfaces. The chip ejection nozzle can be placed on either side of the housing for convenience.
